AAFE is teaming up with the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY) to expand our popular free legal clinics. Thanks to the volunteer attorneys from AABANY, we’ re now able to offer monthly pro bono clinics at our community center at 111 Norfolk St. on the Lower East Side.

The attorneys are available for 30 minute consultations on a wide range of legal topics such as housing, immigration matters, civil litigation, employment and family and matrimonial law. Interpretation is available in Chinese. The clinics are first-come, first-served. They’re held on the third Wednesday of each month. The next session is Wednesday, July 19 from 6:30-8:30 PM.

We launched free legal clinics with AABANY in 2022 from our community center in Flushing, Queens. They will continue throughout 2023, with the next Flushing clinic scheduled for September 6 at 6:30 PM.
